Cleaning Robot ROI Calculator
See in two minutes what a cleaning robot costs per month on your floor space and how much it saves.
Calculate your savings
Five quick steps, and the result updates as you go. We don't store your inputs.
Your floor area
Your siteoptional
We use these details to flag which models and stations fit your space. Leave anything blank you're not sure about.
Narrowest aisle
The tightest spot the robot has to pass, e.g. between shelves
Thresholds and edges
Highest step on the floor to be cleaned, e.g. door thresholds
Water supply
A faucet near a possible docking spot
Drain
Floor drain or sink for dirty water
How you clean today
Today: €1,398 per month for 54 cleaning hours
Your cleaning robot
Financing
Maintenance plan recommended
€249 for the first robot, €149 for each additional one per month. Maintenance, updates and support.
Can reclaim VAT
Turn this off if you can't reclaim input VAT, for example as a public body, hospital or nonprofit. We then include 19% VAT on the robot, station and maintenance. Enter today's costs and the robot's power and wear costs as you actually pay them.

How we calculate
- Step 1
Today's cost
Floor area × cleanings per month ÷ manual cleaning rate gives you the labor hours. Multiply by the hourly rate and add today's equipment and detergent costs to get your monthly cost.
- Step 2
Cost with a robot
Monthly payment for the robot and docking station, plus the maintenance plan, the robot's power and wear parts, and the time your staff spend looking after it. Anything the robot doesn't cover, such as edges or furnished corners, stays in the math as manual work.
- Step 3
Savings
Today's cost minus the cost with a robot. We also show how many cleaning hours your team gets back for other work.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the result?
It's an example calculation based on your inputs and our current list prices. Actual savings depend on flooring, furniture, operating hours and your cleaning process. We verify this during a site visit and then give you a binding quote.
What does the automation rate mean?
It's the share of the entered area the robot fully takes over. Enter only the area the robot should clean, such as warehouses, corridors or sales floors, not restrooms or stairs. In that case, use 100%. If edges or cluttered spots regularly need manual touch-ups, lower the value accordingly.
We outsource cleaning. Can I still use the calculator?
Yes. Select "Cleaning contractor" at the top and enter the monthly price for this area. The calculator assumes your contract shrinks by the share the robot takes over. Whether that works depends on your contract, so raise it with your contractor early.
What manual cleaning rate is realistic?
Walk-behind scrubber-dryers typically cover 300 to 500 m² per hour. Routine office cleaning around furniture is closer to 150 to 250 m². Your cleaning contract or service schedule usually has the exact figure.
Do I need the maintenance plan?
It's optional, but we recommend it. It covers scheduled maintenance, software updates and support when something goes wrong, so the robot keeps running reliably. It costs €249 per month for the first robot and €149 for each additional one, excluding VAT. You can turn it off in the calculator.
Which costs aren't included?
One-time costs for delivery, commissioning, mapping and training come on top and are listed in your quote. We also leave out grants that could lower the investment. Power, pads, brushes and detergent are included at a guide value you can change under "More assumptions".
Do I need a docking station?
A station charges the robot and, depending on the model, refills clean water and drains dirty water on its own. That lets the robot run longer without staff. For smaller areas, a charging dock is often enough.
Hire purchase, leasing or buying outright?
With hire purchase, you own the robot after the final payment. With leasing, you use it for the term and decide what's next at the end. If you buy outright, the calculator converts the price into 60 monthly amounts at a 5% imputed interest rate so you can compare it with the monthly payments. Your tax advisor can tell you which option works best for you.
